REVISED:  Ports of Call:  Bimini, Bahamas and Puerto Plata, DR 

Royal Caribbean Cruises replaced Labadee, Haiti with Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic as a port of call.  The cruise line is preparing new shore excursions for Puerto Plata and must finalize the arrangements with shore operations, vendors and load the choices into the Royal Caribbean website for guests to book replacement excursions online.  Royal has not announced a specific date when new excursions will be available to book online.   A Bliss newsletter announcement will be broadcast to all Mariner of the Seas guests after Royal Caribbean completes loading your choices in their website.

Cruise Summary

Cruise five-night charter from the Port Canaveral is for couples who may have limited time and appreciate a value-based, fun-packed event with other like-minded adult couples. A frequent comment: Couples tell us “We didn’t have time to do all the things or attend all the events we wanted to.”

Departure is from Port Canaveral (below)  so plan to spend some extra time in Orlando or Cocoa Beach enjoying all the fun you can stand.

Orlando International is only 45 minutes from Port Canaveral.   Our adventure at sea leaves Port Canaveral bound for Labadee, Haiti before returning to a new Port of Call for Bliss in Freeport, Bahamas.  At both ports of call, select from many shore side events, water sports, diving, snorkeling, and partying clothing optional on a private catamaran especially arranged for you, designed to meet other couples and enjoy an all-over tan. You can also choose playtime back on board, enjoy specialty themes and have great excuses to attend Meet & Greets as well as fun workshops for adults only.  It’s fun on the sea with no stop signs.

Your five nights and days will be action-packed with fun and educational events during the day, delicious cuisine, and theme nights plus late-night mischief that will keep you awake to rock and roll.  Take your pick from parties, receptions, Meet and Greets as well as dining together to meet new couples. Live music, as well as DJs, will set the pace so you’ll be dropping into bed, totally spent from all the action.  Too busy for you?  Don’t worry, you can set your own pace for fun and games.  No one is grading you so prepare to let loose and have a blast.

Pre-Cruise Hotel

Show up at the pre-Ccuise hotel in Cocoa Beach: Expect more news here including Castaways’ hotel Room block and Meet & Greet reception the night before you sail to get acquainted. Hint: Plan to visit the Cocoa Beach Fish Camp Bar & Grill across the street from our hotel for some fun, games and live entertainment. Your hotel is next door to the famous Cocoa Beach Pier with shops, restaurants and bars. World-famous Ron Jon’s Surf Shop is just down the street. The Publix Super Market is a block away for food and liquor, wine & beer.

Airport/Hotel and Port shuttle service    Through a 3rd party supplier associated with the hotel, an optional round-trip shuttle service is available for $135/couple for Registered guests via the Castaways Travel room contract between Orlando Airport and from the hotel to Port Canaveral, a short 10-minute drive Service includes a return shuttle transfer service from the ship to Orlando Airport April 27.   NOTE:  Guests with room reservations made directly with the hotel or the Best Western website are NOT eligible for this hotel amenity.  This special hotel shuttle service is only available for guests booked on contract with Castaways Travel.

Cabin Type

Do you prefer a cabin with or without a window? Cabins without a window are normally located on the inside corridor of the ship. There are also balcony rooms and suites. Balcony rooms come with an outside patio area where the scenery can be enjoyed without leaving quarters. Suites include a sleeping and dining area with additional amenities. ** If someone in your party is prone to seasickness, choose a cabin that is in a lower level and the middle of the ship.

Cabin Size

Having comfortable surroundings is important when going on a week-long cruise. Will you be spending a lot of time in the cabin? Do you want to wake up and drink coffee on the balcony? A small cabin with no window isn’t a good fit for claustrophobic passengers. Make sure to determine your needs ahead of time and book a cabin size accordingly.

What to Expect On Boarding Day

Arrive Only During Your Time Slot. It is very important that all guests arrive at the terminal within the arrival time slot you selected during the Royal Caribbean check-in process. Those who arrive early will not be able to begin boarding, and those who arrive late will need to wait until we are able to accommodate them in another group.  Wear your face mask at all times during the boarding process.   This policy is subject to change by the cruise line.
