In the postwar years, Rotterdam has also become one of the most diverse cities on the continent as waves of migrants from elsewhere in Europe, North Africa and Turkey have come to work in the shipping industry, concentrated here thanks to the city’s location on the deltas of the Rhine and Maas rivers. With its sweeping harbor and massive Europoort, the city has quickly grown to become the largest port in all of Europe.

*PINNACLE CLASS
In Pinnacle Class ships, you’ll find one of the line’s signature live music entertainment areas with a B.B. King’s Blues Club (for Memphis-style rhythm and blues), Billboard Onboard (for chart-topping hits played by a live pianist) and Rolling Stone Rock Room (for a live band playing classic rock).
The Pinnacle Class ships also have spectacular, state-of-the-art main theaters with push-out stages enveloped by two-story, 270-degree wraparound LED screens. The theaters are home to all sorts of additional music, dance and comedy performances.
The top decks of the Pinnacle Class ships have main pool areas that can be covered by a retractable glass magrodome during weather episodes. The Rotterdam is a good choice when booking a cruise in a destination where the weather can change. The pool areas also have a large screen to show movies, something unique to the ships of the Pinnacle Class.
Each of the Pinnacle Class ships also has a secondary SeaView Pool and lounge area at its back deck.
