Couples Sans Souci is the most unique and secluded of the Couples Resorts, located in Ocho Rios on Jamaica’s lush north coast. Set along dramatic cliffs with hidden beaches and a boutique feel, it offers a quiet, private escape that’s perfect for couples seeking a more intimate experience.
Couples Tower Isle blends classic elegance with a playful twist. Located near Ocho Rios, it offers a more traditional resort layout with the unique feature of a private offshore island.
Located on one of the best stretches of Seven Mile Beach, Couples Negril is known for its relaxed, social atmosphere and beautiful beachfront setting. It strikes a balance between fun and laid back, making it one of the most popular choices in the brand.
“Au naturel areas” are designated beach sections where nudity is required. These areas are clearly marked and separate from the rest of the resort, allowing guests to choose the experience they’re most comfortable with.
A valid passport is required for travel to Jamaica. Most travelers from the U.S. and Canada do not need a visa for short stays. It’s recommended your passport is valid for the duration of your trip, though having at least 6 months remaining is a good rule of thumb.

The official currency is the Jamaican Dollar, but U.S. dollars are widely accepted throughout the island and at the resort. At Couples Resorts, everything is all inclusive, so you’ll only need cash for small tips, excursions, or off resort purchases.
All Couples Resorts guests should fly into Montego Bay (MBJ), where complimentary airport transfers to the resorts are included. From there, it’s an easy scenic drive to your resort
Jamaica is in the Eastern Time Zone and does not observe daylight saving time. Depending on the time of year, it may be the same as EST or one hour behind EDT.
Yes, the water at Couples Resorts is filtered and safe to drink. Bottled water is also readily available throughout the resort if preferred.
No adapter is needed for U.S. travelers. Jamaica uses the same voltage and plug types as the United States.
Pack light, breathable clothing, swimwear, and resort casual outfits for evenings. Don’t forget sunscreen, sunglasses, and comfortable sandals. If you plan to visit any clothing optional areas, pack what makes you feel comfortable, there’s no pressure either way.
Couples Resorts maintain a relaxed and respectful atmosphere. Light affection like holding hands or a quick kiss is perfectly acceptable, but anything more intimate should be kept private.

I’ve been turning vacation dreams into reality since right after high school, took a brief detour while life happened, and happily found my way back to the travel industry in 2014. After helping travelers from our Texas office, I traded cowboy boots for flip flops and returned to Florida to be closer to family. These days, nothing makes me happier than helping people discover the kind of vacation they’ll still be talking about long after they unpack.
The overwater bungalows at Palafitos at Maroma Beach will always have my heart, while Couples Sans Souci in Ocho Rios is one of my favorite places to completely unwind. Having personally experienced many of the resorts we offer, I can help you understand the little differences that don’t always show up in a brochure but can make all the difference in your vacation.
When I’m not planning incredible getaways, you’ll probably find me clipping into a Peloton ride, taking Molly, my spirited Jack Russell, for a walk, spending time with my grandbabies, or enjoying a relaxing day at the beach. Those simple moments remind me exactly why vacations matter so much. They give us time to reconnect, recharge, and make memories with the people we love.

Every great vacation needs someone behind the scenes making sure all the pieces come together, and that’s where I come in! As Castaways Travel’s Chief Chaos Coordinator, I keep the wheels turning so our travelers can focus on making memories. Whether it’s organizing group details, solving last minute challenges, or keeping our Pleasure Planners on track, I thrive on turning organized chaos into unforgettable vacations.
I found my passion for travel in 2019 after spending decades in specialty and luxury retail, and I’ve never looked back. My favorite part of what I do is helping create experiences where people can truly relax, reconnect, and be themselves, whether that’s on a lifestyle cruise, at an adults only resort, or somewhere completely off the beaten path.
When I’m not keeping the Castaways crew sailing smoothly, you’ll probably find me cheering on my son at a baseball tournament, visiting my Aggie at Texas A&M, or dreaming up the next adventure. After all, behind every unforgettable vacation is just a little organized chaos, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
