Flying into Cancún International Airport (CUN)

Can I drink the water in Mexico?
Desire Resort uses a filtered water system throughout the property. The resort also provides bottled water in every suite and minibar, and ice served at the bars and restaurants is made with purified water.
Although the water system meets high safety standards, it’s still recommended to drink bottled water when unsure, especially if you have a sensitive stomach or are not accustomed to local water sources.

What exactly does ‘Clothing-Optional’ mean?
Clothing optional areas otherwise referred to as “au naturel” are area where you have the choice to wear clothes or not, depending on your preference. The designated au naturel areas are the Jacuzzi Lounge, the beach, and the pool.
Is tipping allowed at the resort?
Yes, tipping is allowed but never expected. Gratuities are already included in the resort’s all-inclusive plan, so guests don’t need to tip for regular service. However, if a staff member goes above and beyond, small cash tips in US dollars or pesos are always appreciated. Most guests choose to tip bartenders, servers, and housekeepers for exceptional service, typically in small denominations for convenience.
Is there an age restriction at the resort?
The minimum age to stay at our resort is 21. While the average age range of our guests is typically between 30-45 years old, Desire Riviera Maya welcomes all adults who are seeking to enjoy a good time with their partners and rekindle the flame.
Can guests walk nude anywhere on the resort?
Yes, you are welcome to be au naturel in the clothing-optional areas of the hotel, such as the pools, beach, Jacuzzi Lounge, and the Private Couples’ Lounge. However, please note that clothing is required in the disco, restaurants, and other public areas.
Are photographs allowed at the resort?
No — photography and video are only permitted in the privacy of your own room. Guests are requested not to take pictures or videos in other public-areas of the resort, in order to protect the privacy of all guests.
Are Public Displays of Affection (PDAs) allowed in the public area?
Intimate activities are only permitted in the Jacuzzi Lounge and the Playroom. They are strictly prohibited in the public areas such as the pool or beach.
Are there smoking and non-smoking areas in the hotel?
The entire hotel premises including the beach, public areas, rooms, terraces, pools, and dining venues are smoke-free spaces. Smoking is only allowed in a designated area located between the jacuzzi and the pool, next to the towel valet.

Transfer Policy
We offer a flexible transfer option. You may move your booking to another lifestyle or a vanilla vacation package booked through Castaways, subject to availability and supplier rules.
One transfer per booking. Names on the booking must remain the same. Name changes follow the supplier rules and fees.
Any fare difference, taxes, and fees for the new trip are the guest’s responsibility. Promotional pricing, onboard credits, and perks may not carry over.
Requests must be submitted in writing to your travel agent or to our reservations email before the final cancellation window for your sailing. After the final window, transfers are not guaranteed and may be treated as a cancellation.

When you approve, complete your reservation, authorize and make your payment to Castaways Travel, you agree you have read, understand and will abide by the Terms and Conditions of Castaways Travel and its parent company’s Terms & Conditions of Fox Travel/Fox Ascoli Travel, Inc. and the Desire Resort dates and room you have chosen. You agree in writing to pay for your cruise you authorize Castaways Travel to arrange by entering into a contract for Castaways’ services, to refrain from requesting a chargeback from your credit card company and agree to be subject to cancellation terms, penalties and fees from both Castaways, Fox Travel and Fox Ascoli Travel, Inc. and travel suppliers, vendors and Desire Resorts.
