Temptation Resort is a great place for a singles or couples vacation including triples, great for 3 gals. Yes, you can reserve a room with double occupancy or a private room as a single (or even a triple). Temptation is NOT a nudist resort, but topless-optional, with over 400 rooms. Every time we’ve been there, more single girls seem to show up than guys. (This is only an observation, not a guarantee). Couples, yes, but there’s a great mix of singles.
Ages range from early 20’s to 60’s, with most guests averaging from mid 20’s to mid 40’s, making for a fun vibe day and night.

Vacation Club sales personnel on-site may invite you to a presentation to induce you to buy a timeshare. TIP: As soon as you check in, the front desk may steer you to the next desk “for more information about Desire.” This may very well be a “Sales Pitch for a timeshare.” They may tell you Temptation Resort will no longer be selling their rooms by their officially appointed travel agents. In addition, they may provide other information you should validate independently about claims they make about the program, resort expansion, and changes in benefits or services. If they make promises, GET IT IN WRITING! If they won’t, be suspicious of their claims and program. If you are displeased, feel uncomfortable, or no longer wish to use the vacation you paid for to listen, you are not obligated to participate further. These folks are compensated only if you buy into the program so they will try to close the deal immediately….before you leave the table. You may: 1) Depart at any time or 2) Ask for the vacation/timeshare program manager to voice your objection, if any. Walk away if they keep hounding you.
Complaining to resort management may be ineffective as the Vacation Club personnel work for a different division of Original Resorts or Temptation.

Temptation Resort and Spa is NOT
NUDE but topless-optional, a fun, all-inclusive adults-only full-service resort in Cancun, Mexico with 426 rooms. Most beach resorts in Cancun attract international guests from countries worldwide and Temptation has its share.
So, topless sunbathing is welcome and typical at Temptation….but not guaranteed. Nudity is not yet accepted on the principal beaches as clothing-optional sunbathing opportunities are not yet the norm for Mexico but we hope they come soon.
Some of the “monokini” appear to be fashioned from dental floss. This is a great place for a singles or couples vacation. You can reserve a room with double occupancy, a single room for privacy, or a triple for fun.
From a “newbie” point of view for first-timers, read this great trip report to appreciate the vibe of Temptation Resort where you will find someone compatible if you open your mouth and start talking. Ages….any legal age 21 or over so go for it. Averages: 20s to 40s……and everything in between. A few older couples show up to have fun because it’s such an electric vibe.

TEMPTATION GOING TO THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
Temptation Miches Resort, a 382-suite property, and Temptation Grand Miches Resort, a more exclusive 114-suite property, will feature topless-optional areas, adult-centric entertainment, and all-inclusive amenities.
Opening slated for 2022. Miches, DR is about 90 minutes from the Punta Cana International Airport.
Getting There
U.S. Citizens: Passports are required for international air travel to all destinations outside the USA.
Temptation – Cancun We’ve been there so just ask us. The resort is located on the beach right in the north hotel zone of Cancun. The resort faces northward toward the Mexican Caribbean.
A little aside: the surf is almost non-existent on the north side of the hotel zone and therefore, there are no pounding waves which tend to spawn patches of seaweed. Don’t expect a pure perfect, endless stretch of white beach as parts of the sandy bottom are prone to seaweed colonies.
This is not a big deal, just a bit of trivia… there’s still plenty of sand to sink your toes into.
Cancun International Airport is served by airlines worldwide, offering convenient and frequent service. Temptation is about 30 minutes from the airport so you can take a taxi, a shuttle transfer, or rent a car to see the area. The distance is only about 15 miles and much of the drive is through town. A big plus if you don’t have to spend much time transferring to the hotel from the airport.
Services
The resort is full-service, all-inclusive, and adults only. There are daily activities, nightly entertainment in an open-air theater setting, non-motorized water sports, windsurfing, snorkeling, optional scuba diving, adult games, and of course beaches and the on-site swimming pools.
The main pool is party central during the day and stretches from one end to almost the other. The smartest, most fun part of the pool is the four Jacuzzis located at the free-form pool’s edge, inside the main pool (not beside the pool), and right near the bar.
A nice touch is that introductory scuba diving lessons are provided complimentary before you have to pony up the cash to take diving lessons.
Many beaches in Cancun are topless but not nude (yet). Other features include free bicycles, 7 specialty restaurants, bars seemingly everywhere you turn, a fitness center, and numerous tours and sightseeing in the area.
A fun activity is to sign on (at extra cost) for a jet ski ride through the surrounding Everglades and beautiful lagoons. Boutiques are on site and shops are next door.

Ambiance
Temptation Resort is active all the time. The resort is surprisingly compact in the main hotel buildings, with the “PLAY” tower in the middle of the complex.
Nightly, the center attraction is the entertainment and party terrace outside adjacent to the lobby facing the Caribbean. The place cranks up at night with bars inside and out, a snack buffet, a great mix of tunes courtesy of the on-the-scene DJ team, and an elevated dance platform to see and be seen if you’re game.
Numerous lounges, boutiques, bistros, restaurants, clubs, and shops are close by up and down Kukulcan Blvd east of the hotel. If you can’t find enough party action on site, Clubs include: Coco Bongo, St. Frogs, Basic, Dady’O, The City, Bulldog, Dady Rock (NOTE: This list will change without notice as new clubs open and old ones close)
Most of the social activity is centered around the pool and beach bar area plus the lobby bar near the reception area during the day. At night time, most guests will be busy with dinner and drinks, and then attend the evening’s entertainment. The beach area is adequate for the guest load but the hotel zone properties are built right next to each other so the beaches run together. There are no wide open spaces on this section of the beach.TIPS
Just take airport transfers to the resort, and if you wish, rent a car to see more of the area if you prefer. Otherwise, a bus shuttle operates up and down the hotel corridor in Cancun’s hotel row.
Study a guidebook or internet site before you arrive in Cancun to plan your stay as there are numerous tourist activities to take advantage of. If you just want to sit back and relax, don’t bother. There are a hundred different sites and activities to participate in so you might want to plan your time spent there.

Plan on taking the bus shuttle up and down the hotel zone if you like to explore, bar hop, or shop ’til you drop. The hotel zone is about 12-14 miles long (or more) from top to bottom…..you can walk or run it if you’ve trained for a marathon……the hotel zone is big.
And, the hotel zone is separate from the town of Cancun. The zona, as it’s called, runs for miles along a peninsula shaped like a number “7” from north to south.
Temptation beach at the water’s edge is shallow, drag a plastic lounge chair out in the saltwater with a friend, a book, and a drink and enjoy your vacation.

array of sports: beach volleyball; beach soccer; water polo; ping pong, and water basketball. For the more adventurous, the resort offers Hobie Cat, windsurfing, and scuba diving lessons among others.

Group trips for Temptation Resort are listed here when available and also feature seasonal celebrations such as Valentine’s, Halloween, and other occasions. But even when there are none scheduled that doesn’t mean it’s not a great place for two, three, or even dozens of couples to get together for a group trip.

Sightseeing
Use this link from our parent company, Fox Travel, Associate, American Express to pre-book your excursions, tours, and sightseeing before you arrive at the resort. Typically, tours and sightseeing include pick-up at your hotel.
You can travel from next door and also to locations within about an hour or more from the resort and do the following:
Shop at open-air markets, dive with the dolphins, take a trip by jet ski through the Everglades and lagoons, dance at a local club, swim, eat, visit Mayan ruins at Tulum, see cultural and folkloric shows, cruise on a pirate ship or a catamaran, bar hop in Cancun, visit Cozumel via water taxi from Cancun or Playa del Carmen.
Enjoy world-class dining in Cancun, visit Isla Mujeres across the bay from Cancun, scuba dive, visit three water parks with underground rivers and pools called cenotes, go horseback riding, snorkeling, and even visit Cuba for a day. Choose from hundreds of options.
If you have time, visit Perico’s Restaurant in town not far from the hotel, for meals and drinks in a fun, Mexican atmosphere. Just seeing the place is worth the trip….maybe 10 minutes by taxi from the hotel.
