Basseterre, St. Kitts & Nevis

Greens in every shade spring from the rolling hills of St. Kitts— an island ripe with eco-tourism adventures. In the port city of Basseterre, you’ll find centuries of history to explore in impressive estates and photo-worthy monuments like the Brimstone Hill Fortress, one of the best preserved military structures in the Americas. Cruise to St. Kitts & Nevis and venture beyond the port and gear up for a unique climb up the 3,792-foot Mount Liamuiga volcano for views well worth the hike. Or hop in a kayak to get up close with a rainbow of tropical reef fish. Looking for something a little more laidback? Escape to the tiny unhurried sister island, Nevis, for smooth golden beaches and clear-water snorkeling— it’s just a thirty-minute ferry ride away.

All Aboard

Hop on the West Indies’ last railway— double-decker railcars that travel along a line built a century ago to transport sugarcane across the island. You’ll pass historical estates and countryside filled with tall wild sugarcane.

Local Cuisine

Casual beach spots with super-fresh seafood are your best bet for lunch. Order some spiny lobster or conch grilled over an open fire. More adventurous eaters should try West Indian specialties like pepper pot, Arawak chicken and goat water stew. For a quick snack, vendors sell sugarcane stalks to chew on.

Shopping

Port Zante has over 60 shops where you can score deals on watches, jewelry, diamonds, and gemstones. Or you can head to the nearby Pelican Shopping Mall, a collection of souvenir shops designed to look like a traditional Caribbean street.

An assortment of colorful souvenirs

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, U.S.V.I.

Charlotte Amalie is one of the world’s most beautiful harbors; blue waters peppered with sailboats and green hills dotted with quaint little cottages make for post-card perfect brags. Just outside the lively port town, you’ll find ribbons of powdery sand beaches dotted with hammocks. Cruise to St. Thomas and explore colonial landmarks like Blackbeard’s Castle or raise a pint of the local lager at quaint microbreweries. And when it’s time to fuel up, you’ll find plenty of beachside bars serving conch fritters, johnnycakes, and coconut patties. St. Thomas may technically be part of the U.S., but with its colorful markets, unspoiled beaches, and the ever-present sound of steel drums, you’ll feel a world away.

Panoramic Views of Paradise

St. Thomas’s central mountain range offers endless opportunities to snag the ultimate panoramic selfie. Head to Government Hill, Drake’s Seat on Skyline Drive, and Mountain Top, which rises over 1,500 feet above sea level for the most bragworthy views.

Journey Into The Past

Just off Main Street, visit the St. Thomas Synagogue and Frederick Lutheran Church, each the second oldest of its kind in the Western Hemisphere. Stop by Blackbeard’s Castle, built in 1679, and see the world’s largest collection of life-sized pirate statues. Or climb the legendary 99 Steps built by 18th century Danes, using bricks that once served as ship ballast.

Local Cuisine

St. Thomas is a foodie’s haven, and you’ll find no shortage of bars and pubs serving up local favorites like St. John Brewers Virgin Islands beer and Blackbeard Ale™. West Indian fare, like callaloo (sautéed leafy greens) and Johnnycakes (cornmeal flatbreads), is a staple. And you absolutely can’t leave without trying some chocolate dipped coconut patties. In restaurants and bars, you may wish to add a gratuity of 15-20% to your bill if service was especially good.

Fun Day at CoCoCay "clothing optional for the day"

There’s n such thing as a ‘one-size-fits-all’ vacation — especially on Perfect Day at CocoCay. Whether your ideal beach getaway involves larger-than-life thrills or unwinding at a peaceful waterfront chill spot, you’ll find there’s no right or wrong way to make the most out of your adventure.

And did we mention?   CocoCay will not require swim suits (although you can wear one).  Why?  Because Bliss Cruise is taking over the complete island.  So drop your drawers for an all-over tan.  But remember to slather on the sun screen or you won't be able to sit down at night.

This isn’t vacation days spent — it’s bragging rights earned. Zipline across the island at lightening-speed. Conquer the tallest waterslide in North America — Daredevil’s Peak℠ — and brave the largest wave pool in the Caribbean. At Thrill Waterpark, there are countless new ways to test your threshold for adrenaline. Switch onto relaxation mode at Chill Island, home to crystal clear tropical waters, powdery white sands, and endless opportunities to kick back and recharge. Or soak up a slice of Bora Bora in the first overwater cabanas in The Bahamas. You don’t have to choose one way to spend your time on Perfect Day at CocoCay. Turn up the thrills at Thrill Waterpark, then get on island time at Chill Island or at Oasis Lagoon — the possibilities are endless.

Cruise Details

Bliss passengers sold out the previous spring 2017, 2019 and 2020 cruises so we’ve listened to you. Bliss has chartered a ship for the largest lifestyle party at sea on board a newly upgraded Oasis of the Seas boasting all new cabin upgrades and enhancements to its public areas you won’t recognize from its prior version. Why? Because you’ve made these floating parties THE destination to see and be seen among the most dynamic, fun-loving couples at sea, all in a welcoming clothing optional atmosphere for fun loving couples.

Prohibited Travel

The U.S. Department of Treasury’s Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) administers a variety of trade embargoes and economic sanctions programs that are applied to some countries. Currently, the most restrictive measures are imposed against the following Sanctioned Countries:

  • Cuba
  • Iran
  • Sudan
  • North
  • Korea Syria

U.S. law prohibits us from providing services and engaging in business transactions with individuals and entities located in or residents of these Sanctioned Countries. This prohibition also extends to doing business with Sanctioned Countries indirectly through third parties.

This means we cannot, either directly or indirectly through a third party (including you, our trusted travel partners) market or sell cruise vacations, make bookings, reserve cruise tours or expeditions, and provide other travel-related services to individuals or entities located in or residents of these Sanctioned Countries. To ensure compliance with these laws, you must adhere to these requirements.

Restrictions can be challenging because the cruise lines operate in a global market and must maintain vigilance in adhering to applicable trade sanctions laws.  Ship Registry: Malta & Ecuador
